Robert Wieland

Prior to founding Wieland Capital, Robert Wieland was an Investment Banking Associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions department of Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ) in London. As a member of respective deal teams, he executed buy- and sell-side M&A transactions in various industries in Europe, with a focus on Germany. During his three years in Investment Banking, he advised corporate clients on 6 M&A transactions with a total value in excess of Euro 2 billion. His other projects included structuring of LBO-transactions and the preparation of an IPO.

Prior to Investment Banking, Robert Wieland gained operational experience at the headquarters of the pharmaceuticals division of Bayer AG, in Leverkusen, Germany, where he worked in the Strategic Planning and Internal Cost Accounting departments.

He holds a business degree as "Diplom-Kaufmann"(MBA-equivalent) from WHU Koblenz (Otto Beisheim Graduate School of Management), in Koblenz, Germany and also studied both at the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration in Rochester, New York, in the USA and at EDHEC Lille, in France.
